Sometime last year I was browsing Pinterest late at night and happened upon an adorable printable of Luna Lovegood’s Spectrespecs. I thought I could print them smaller and turn them into a great little Christmas ornament for my fandom Christmas tree. So I pinned the post.
I didn’t download the image, just pinned it. And now the original post is gone.
I did a Google search and a reverse image search, but only found websites or Flickr and Reddit users who were sharing poor quality or low resolution versions of the original images.
What You Need
- cardstock (you definitely want to use cardstock and not regular paper)
- scissors or a Xacto knife
- tape or glue
- Spectrespecs printable (below)
You can see the finished ornament on my tree in the photo above. Love the Ravenclaw diadem and time turner also? You’ll never guess how much they were. 99-cents with free shipping! Honest! Click the links below.
Right now as I am typing this, there are at least 10 sellers offering these for 99-cents each, free shipping. My photo doesn’t do them justice, they really are as pretty as shown in the Ebay photos.
BUT, keep in mind that these are sellers from China and shipping can take about 3 weeks. So don’t wait too long to place your order.

Because of their small size, it might be easier if you use a craft knife instead of scissors. Or to make it even easier, you could invest in a Silhouette Cameo machine, which has a print and cut feature that cuts already printed images for you! It does this by adding registration marks to your paper. My Silhouette machine is one of the best things I’ve ever invested in. When I purchased mine several years ago, they were about $350, now they are about $200.
(By the way, isn’t my puzzle piece cutting board adorable?)
My husband made this for me out of butcher block. Here are all 4 pieces, which fit together into one cutting board…
