Kids of all ages LOVE dinosaurs. I remember reading once that one of the reasons kids like dinosaurs so much is because the world of dinosaurs is like an imaginary, fantasy world that they are encouraged to believe in.
With Halloween just around the corner, now is the time to stock up on candy and plan your costumes. Many businesses, churches, and small towns host Trunk or Treat events, where vehicles are set up in a parking lot and kids can go from trunk to trunk to get their treats.
For this year’s Trunk or Treat events, we are decorating our trunk with a dinosaur theme, complete with the most amazing costume you will ever see.

The kids are going to go absolutely bonkers when they see him walking around.
You can find the Dinosaur costume in Oriental Trading’s Halloween Headquarters. The Inflatable Jurassic World™ T-Rex Costume is an officially licensed ©Universal Studios Jurassic World™ costume. It includes:
- a sturdy plastic jumpsuit. The jumpsuit is one piece and has a see-through section that is actually the dinosaur’s neck.
- battery-operated fan. The fan inflates the costume and also keeps the wearer cool inside.
- normally $64.99, but hurry up and buy yours as it is currently on sale for only $49.98. I don’t know how long this sale will last.
The other items we are using to decorate the trunk are:
Jumbo Dinosaur Cutouts
These cutouts are more realistic than I imagined. They are made of cardstock and the largest of the 13 cutouts is 2-feet tall.
Jumbo Inflatable Dinosaurs
These cutouts are even bigger than I imagined. These are designed to hold air for an extended period of time. The set includes 6 inflatables that range in size from 27″ to 30″.
